The Philips HeartStart XL+ is a lightweight, portable, defibrillator and monitor. It provides four clinical modes of operation: Monitor, Manual Defibrillation, AED, and Pacer (Optional). The HeartStart XL+ is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. An AC power supply may serve as a secondary power source and supply continuous battery charging. The XL+ performs Automated Tests on a regular basis and stores critical event and trend data in its internal memory.
